What is "My Story"?
My story is a presentation where students share aspects of themselves, such as: their favorite quotes; past jobs and desired career; favorite music, food, past-times; leadership experiences; etc.
My story can be presented in front of the class or include a video recording, where students go into greater detail about what makes them.
My Story can be used as the first slide of an ethnography presentation.

What does this look like?
Here is an example I did for a class. I included a video about my experience with plurlingual students, a meme about how I feel about online learning, my favorite movie quote, desired job within a school, etc. My presentation is in English, but students can share their story in any language or combination of languages.
What can this offer students?
My Story offers students the opportunity to research and discover elements of their own story and share it in a meaningful way with their peers. This is a great icebreaker and can help introduce new students in the classroom.
